Air Fryer breaded chicken tenderloin

As some of you may know, I recently got an Air Fryer, and I've been experimenting with it. It does really come in handy when you want to make french fries or croquettes without the mess of frying them the traditional way. However, if there's one dish that has become a staple for us is breaded chicken. My partner isn't a huge fan of chicken meat because he finds it "too dry", but he's in love with this breaded chicken. It's just crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Because our air fryer came with very scarce instructions, we had to figure out the perfect times and temperatures by experimenting and searching online. Some cooking appliances, like our Slow Cooker, come with a little booklet that includes a handful of recipes, so you can get started. The only thing included with my air fryer is a chart that indicates which dishes should be cooked with the grid and which shouldn't.

If you've had an air fryer for a while maybe none of this will be revolutionary for you, but if you're new to the world of air fryers, you might find this post a great starting point. So, with any further ado, let's get started.

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 pieces of chicken tenderloin (you can use chicken breast, but this feel juicier).
  • 1 egg
  • Grated bread.
  • Parsley
  • Powder garlic.
  • Oil.

Cooking time: 20 minutes.

Temperature: 180ºC.

Wash and dry your chicken. Remove any leftover tendons or fat if needed.

On a flat dish, pour some grated bread. I get mine from a local bakery next to my house, but you can get yours at a supermarket.

Mix in some powder garlic and parsley. I do have fresh parsley at home, but I always use the dry one for this.

Soak your  chicken in the egg (previously beaten).

Then, cover it  with the grated bread.

Put it in your air fryer and add a drizzle of olive oil.

Cook it at 180ºC for 20 minutes. After the first 10 minutes, open your air fryer and flip your chicken pieces.

After 20 minutes, this is what we have. Doesn't it look delicious?

And just like that, you have an easy recipe for dinner. We've been making this every other week and so far it's one of our favorite dinner recipes.
